세팅을 끝내고 create버튼을 눌렀더니 위와 같은 에러가 떴다.

사실 이 에러는 처음 프로젝트를 만들면 보여주는 Getting Started 를 자세히 들여다보면 답이 나와있다.

~~~~'1.8' to '17' 라고 써있다.

이 프로젝트는 자바 버전이 낮은 것으로 써야하기 때문에 17이 아니라 1.8로 바꾸었다.

여기서 내 실수가 드러난 것이다.

자바 버전에 맞춰서 spring boot의 버전도 맞춰줬어야하는데 아뿔싸, 바꾸지 않은 것이다!

위 사진처럼 build.gradle 파일로 들어가

    id 'org.springframework.boot' version '2.7.7'
}

sourceCompatibility = '1.8'

이렇게 두 가지의 숫자를 바꾸어주었다.

그랬더니 빌드 성공!!
